About Keiko Uchida
Keiko Uchida hails from Japan, from a childhood heavily influenced by design: her mother is a renowned kimono stylist among Tokyo’s elite and her late grandfather and father were celebrated tearoom designers.
Keiko began her career in Tokyo working as a luxury kitchen designer. She moved to the UK at the turn of the century, undertook an MA in design management, and joined Muji. During a decade that culminated in her role as acting manager of the company’s household division, Keiko co-designed a number of Muji Europe’s best-selling ranges of accessories, including slippers, blankets and travel accessories. Upon completion of an MSc in International Business in 2012, Keiko left the company and created the Keiko Uchida Collection.
The Keiko Uchida Collection is a fusion of traditional Japanese and modern European aesthetics. Each piece celebrates femininity and has been created to epitomise a timeless glamour. Sensual and sexy, the Keiko Uchida Collection is one of affordable luxury.
